World is running ahead and so is life of an ordinary man. Life today is not restricted to a happy go lucky times but there is lot more of frustration anger and tension coming up too. And these tensions are making a market for the cigarettes because a single strand of smoke is supposedly believed to have relaxing effects and for sense of delusion. Have you ever heard of a anyone who has received fruitful results from cigarettes in any manner. Well on a general basis every wise man’s word speaks that SMOKING IS HARMFUL FOR LIFE Cigarettes contain nicotine which has stimulating action on the smoker’s brain. It actually connects that part of the brain which gives a feeling of pleasure. Thus the smoker automatically starts to believe that smoking is can relieve him or her of stress and frustration however the adversity of smoking is that it starts making the person addictive to stimulants like nicotine and other such chemicals present in cigarettes which are capable of damaging not only the brain cells but also can result in large number of physical ailments which include chronic lung disorders and heart problems and various types of cancers even.

Stop Smoking with Acupuncture

The effectiveness of the acupuncture for drug withdrawal, including smoking cessation, has been proclaimed by acupuncturists in the U.S. since the early 1980’s. Much of the work in this area was stimulated by the reports of Michael Smith, who developed an acupuncture protocol for “drug detox” in the late 1970’s. His work focused especially on the use of ear acupuncture, following the work of surgeon-acupuncturist Paul Nogier in France. Smith has also pursued the question of the nature of addiction and the setting required to help patients overcome addiction. Though Smith’s work was mainly involved with difficult inner-city drug problems like heroin addiction, the principles and methods have been applied to nicotine addiction in daily smokers. Explanations for the role of acupuncture in drug withdrawal, such as inducing enkephalins and endorphins to reduce the anxiety and stress as the blood levels of the drug decline, were proposed. The results of testing for these substances have been somewhat contradictory.

Stop Smoking for Women

Many of those who smoke have desire to quit smoking and break the habit that they have formed. However, it has been found that women have a harder time kicking the smoking habit than men do. While it has been found that smoking causes more health problems in women than in men, it has also been seen that smoking is harder to break with women. This happens because of the different effects that the nicotine have on the brain. This also happens because of the associations that women make with smoking, which often times differ from the reasons why men smoke. One of the reasons why women have a harder time to stop smoking is because of the nicotine addiction that occurs with cigarette smoking. Cigarettes contain this chemical in order to get one addicted to smoking. The nicotine moves into one’s brain and triggers a nerve that is responsible for calming pain. When a woman decides to stop smoking this nerve is no longer triggered. In women, this causes a feeling of depression and negative moods making it harder for women to quit smoking. This nerve is more sensitive in women than it is in men. It has been found that the withdrawal symptoms are harder to maintain when a woman is trying to quit smoking because of these sudden changes in moods that have been triggered and suppressed from the change in the brain’s nerves.

Quit Smoking and Start Moving

Because nicotine acts as an appetite suppressant, many smokers who try to quit also face the prospect of gaining weight. To increase the health benefits of quitting and also reduce your risk of weight gain, why not put down the cigarettes and pick up good exercise habits at the same time?Battle the Bulge: As mentioned above, smokers who are trying to quit may gain weight due to the fact that smoking affects your metabolism. It is also common for ex-smokers to want something in their fingers besides a cigarette, which can lead to excessive snacking on junk food. For many smokers, a cigar or cigarette marks the end of meal. Without that cue to stop eating, ex-smokers may continue long past the point of fullness.
